The Washington County Family Caregiver Support Program has developed some innovative programs to support the unpaid family caregiver in managing the responsibilities and stress of caring for an
adult. Their partnership with No Worries In-Home Care is one such program. Since 2005, No Worries In-home Care has offered the Family Caregiver Training series as a community service,
free of charge, to family caregivers.
Each class features guest presenters who address important issues for
caregiving:
- Elder law considerations;
- Working with the memory–impaired person in your care;
- Basic personal care techniques and assistive equipment;
- Self-care hints and support;
- Hospice and end-of-life planning
- Medication administration;
- Community and County Resources;
